At McDonald's, we're all about meeting people where they are and helping them unlock their full potential. Along with our independent owner/operators, we offer resources that help open the doors of opportunity for learning, training and advancement for employees as well as leaders–everywhere we do business.
Whether people work in our restaurants or our field or our corporate offices, we're proud to provide tools and world-class training to help them succeed within our system. We equip our employees with the marketable life skills that will serve them well wherever their careers take them. Skills like teamwork, reliability, customer service, accountability and leadership.
We believe education is the true game-changer. That's why we invest in programs that offer access to workforce training, high school and college credits, scholarships for higher education, and ultimately a path to a successful career. That's because where you start can help take you where you want to go.
McDonald's offers a chance to learn, grow and gain hands-on experiences that can set them up for success – whether here at McDonald's or anywhere else they pursue their opportunities. And the pride that comes from bringing a little lovin' to our customers every day.
Maybe it's a way to buy that first car. It could be a way to support yourself in college. Or it might be the way you enter the corporate world. Whatever you're looking for, McDonald's can help you make your own way, with challenging careers, quality benefits and the best opportunities around.

Tuition Assistance
Our Tuition Assistance Program provides reimbursement for eligible courses that relate to an employee's current (or future) job functions, or lead toward business degrees. Tuition assistance is available for restaurant managers and crew at both company-owned and franchised restaurants.
High School Completion
This is an online academic program that allows employees to obtain their high school diploma. All costs are covered by our Tuition Assistance Program.
College Credit Connection Program
The connection program helps our employees find the most efficient and affordable path to a two- or four-year degree. We work with affiliate colleges that offer discounted tuition rates to McDonald's employees—and that also recognize American College of Education (ACE) college credit recommendations for our management development training.
Hamburger University
Since 1961, Hamburger University has offered graduates a unique management curriculum that is as thought-provoking as it is comprehensive. Hamburger U teaches in a total of 28 languages, some of which include Spanish, German, French, Japanese and Mandarin with the opportunity for college credit to be earned. McDonald's management and mid-management development now carries 49 American Council on Education in all.
