Job Description
Supports the Product Development teams with tasks that contribute to the day-to-day development procedures maintained for current and new product from concept through Production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned)

  • Assist with receiving and shipping packages
  • Assist with evaluation of samples for measurements and construction details against technical specifications and company standards
  • Responsible for the organization and upkeep of the Archive Libraries
  • Assist with Product CADs on a seasonal basis
  • Assist the team with entering data into our systems
  • Manage reports for samples and support the Product Development team on following up on sample status
  • Manage the back design area an ensuring this area is kept clean
  • Assist with product storage, organization and set up for various team meetings

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High School graduate required, bachelor's degree in apparel merchandising, textile design, or related field preferred
  • Experience in related field preferred

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills

  • Strong PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office software including working knowledge of Illustrator
  • Working knowledge of Flex PLM a plus
  • General understanding of development and production processes
  • Working knowledge of sewing construction and understanding of patternmaking
  • Familiarity with design characteristics and knowledge of fabrics
  • Enthusiasm for design, fabrics and product development
  • A good eye for color, proportions and functionality of product

  • Office environment. Utilizing an office desk - sitting, reading, listening, bending, using cutting instruments, or speaking with the ability to move intermittently throughout the day

  • Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, copiers, fax machines, and phones
